Rodrigo C.

What makes me unique is the combination of my empathy, emotional hypersensitivity, infinite patience, and “Winning” drive mentality. My teaching style is a culmination of the stated characteristics in a manner in which I am able to connect with any individual, understand their position in retrospect with their overlying dilemmas, and utilize a subtle strategy that becomes a comfortable foundation to input a manageable progressive drive onto the individual. By being in the “helping people” industry, I personally fulfill my purpose in life which is to help as many people as I can positively because we are all connected in this life and are meant to help each other out of love for one another.

People would be surprised to know that I was professionally inclined to become a neurosurgeon despite my extremely horrible academic performance throughout grade school. I graduated from Belen Jesuit Preparatory with a 2.1 GPA thanks to clocking in over 40 hours every week playing video games from elementary school all the way up until my first year in college whereby my interests in IT and Psychology awakened as I searched to merge both disciplines in the form of taking extracurricular courses outside of my core academia as a hobby including learning computational programming languages as well as multi-dimensional psychological theories applicable to any individual. I have since learned the value of time, reformed my life by undergoing a complete 720 degree turn mentally, and ended up graduating from Florida International University with a 3.4 GPA with a Bachelor’s in Psychology centralized in Applied Behavior Analysis while currently enrolled in one of Arizona State University’s online ABA Master’s program maintaining a 4.0 GPA for the second semester in a row as I harmoniously balance a rigorous work/life schedule.

If I could tell my younger self one piece of advice, it would be the following: I cannot stop you from doing what you want to do because we are all born with free-will and forcing you to do or act a certain way will only hurt you, but a successful and happy life can be a possibility if you focus your time on building your future by improving the skills you are good at as well as the skills that you like that you naturally are attracted to. Video games are designed to be “extremely fun” for ANYONE so that you invest as much time getting the most fun out of them. It is okay to have fun, to relax, and to play video games moderately as long as you have a balanced schedule with your goals and maintain a healthy lifestyle in order to have “the most fun” out of your future.
